This gorgeous lady raised a brood in the rafters of my back porch. She was extremely tolerant of me as I often used the door, never abandoning her nest. But, she was also very shy and would make a quick getaway at the first sight of me, which made it difficult to get a clean picture of her. Then one rainy afternoon, she left her nest full of near-fledglings for a drink and a stretch. Unbeknownst her, I was set up and shooting when she landed on a limb well within reach of my photography gear. She is now one of my favorite bird photos.
